(after Framenau & Vink 2001): Venatrix koori is the darkest of all Venatrix species. Both males and females show only a very indistinct colouration. Males can be identified by the tegular apophysis of the pedipalp, which forms a small ventral hook. The epigyne of the females is distinctly anchor-shaped, with very broad and wide median and posterior transverse part.
