Venonia
Venonia include small, elongated Wolf Spiders with dark colouration and a white spot at the end of their abdomen. They construct a small sheet-web in vegatation or soil depression. These are largely tropical, although one species, V. micarioides, can be found in the southern half of the country. There are seven species of Venonia described from Australia and a key to these species can be found in Yoo and Framenau (2006).
