(after Framenau & Vink 2001): Venatrix allopictiventris has the same ventral pattern as V. pictiventris and V. hickmani. The tegular apophysis of the male pedipalp differs considerably from both of these species. It carries a long, slim ventral process (as V. pictiventris) but the retrolateral tip is less conspicuous and not bent proximally. The epigyne can be distinguished by its distinct broad median septum with parallel borders.
