(after Framenau 2008): Male: Macrosetae or bristles at cymbium tip absent; pedipalp tibia length subequal to length of cymbium; embolic division of male pedipalp reduced (flattened), i.e., palea absent (as in all genera of the subfamily Venoniinae); embolic division with an apical process that is directed retrolaterally. Female: Genital openings extend posteriorly from epigynal area or lateral epigynum margins extending past median septum; pedipalp tibiae and tarsi subequal in length.
