Crab or Flower Spiders
Thomisidae
(after Framenau et al. 2014): Many Crab Spiders are readily recognised as such. Their first two pairs of legs are longer and stronger than the two rear pairs and all are directed to the side (‘laterigrade’). But even in absence of this typical appearance, Crab Spiders can be recognised by the comparatively large lateral eyes that sit on elevated tubercles
