Pedipalp morphology of Celaenia FP-11886 is very similar to that of C. excavata as illustrated in Levi (1996), but the embolus is less curved and the terminal apophysis more elongate. It is possible that this is one of the described Celaenia pending a revision of the genus in Australia.
