Acroaspis
The genus Acroaspis includes medium-sized orb-weaving spiders with a characteristically raised abdomen, either as single turret or multiple posterior tubercles. The genus Heurodes is likely a junior synonym of Acroaspis bus has been declared a nomen dubium as the type species was described on an unidentifiable juvenile (Framenau 2019) The configuration with tubercles is similar to that in the genus Socca, but species in that genus are generally larger. A detailed diagnosis of Acroaspis based on genital characters will require an in-depth revision of the genus.
