This undescribed genus of Australian Araneidae has a precurved posterior eye row (i.e. the lateral eyes are situated in front of the median eyes) which would put it into the vicinity of Argiope. However, genital morphology is very different and places it closer to Telaprocera, however Genus 3241 spiders have a distinctly heart-shaped abdomen. Similar to Telaprocera, Genus 3241 spiders build a ladder-shaped web along the trunk of trees. There are currently two known species, one in eastern Australia (FP-10943) and one in the west (FP-10942).
