Genus 3345 (dehaani gp)

Parawixia dehaani was included in Scharff et al.'s (2020) word-wide systematic study of the Araneidae and did not group with the type species of the genus but within the informal 'backoboukiines' with affinities to largely Australian species. The species is therefore here listed in Genus 3345. These are large orb-weaving spiders with distinct and sharp humeral humps. The epigyne is heavily sclerotised with a short scape.
