(after Framenau 2015): Male Venator spenceri differ from V. immansuetus by the presence of a retrolateral incision of the tegular apophysis. The edge of the epigyne atrium towards the medium septum is smooth in female V. spenceri, whereas it is irregular in V. immansuetus.
