(after Framenau 2010): Kangarosa tasmaniensis is morphologically similar to K. nothofagus. Males differ in particular in the shape of the tegular apophysis that lacks a distinct retrolateral central protrusion, which is present in K. nothofagus. In addition, the terminal apophysis is broad in K. nothofagus but slim and pointy in K. tasmaniensis. The epigyne of K. tasmaniensis is very narrow.
