(after Baehr et al. 2017): The female of Oxyopes quadrifasciatus can be separated from females of all other described Australian Oxyopes species by the inverted anchor-shaped scapus with triangular tip and short outward directed lateral lobes.
The retrolateral cymbial process is very long with a broad base in ventral view, unique within Australian Oxyopes.
