Of the four species of Xestaspis found on Barrow Island, Xestaspis FP-260 is most similar to Xestaspis FP-261, both being dark reddish-brown. Xestaspis FP-260 differs by the much higher carapace and lack of long setae present in Xestaspis FP-261.
