(after Wunderlich 1976 - from German): There are taxonomic relationships to Erigone prominens und E. wiltoni. Erigone eisenschmidti can best distinguished from these species by the bent spur of the patella and by the shape of the tibila apophyses (viewed prolaterally). In E. prominens the position of the trichobothrium of the metatarsi on leg I is more distal (0'40-48) and the median apophysis is more stretched; in E. wiltoni, the median apophysis is shorter and thicker and the carapace barely elevated.
