Lamponata

(after Platnick 2000): Members of Lamponata resemble those of Lampona, Lamponina, and Lamponoides in having a divided scopula on the anterior metatarsi and tarsi (although the scopula is weak and sometimes represented by relatively few hairs in males), but differ in having the sternal surface smooth with rounded pits rather than rugose. Males have a distinctive, long retrolateral tibial apophysis, apparently correlated with the presence in females of an anterior epigynal hood situated far anterior of the spermathecae.
