(after Platnick 2002): This appears to be the sister species of P. magnet, resembling it closely in both palpal morphology and coloration, but differing in the simple, triangular shape of the retrolateral tibial apophysis. The affinities with P. magnet make it extremely unlikely that the holotype could represent the male of P. fulvus or any of the island species.
