(after L. Koch 1876): Cymbacha striatipes differs from the two closest related species, C. similis and C. festiva, in particular in that the tibia of the second pair of legs are ventrally covered with long hairs, and, as is the case with C. festiva, there are no spines on the metatarsi and tarsi of the first pair of legs, and that the patellae and tibiae of the third and fourth pair of legs are covered with spiny bristles dorsally.
