Diagnosis
Males of Steatoda FP-11447 can be distinguished by the serrated edge of one of the apical apophysis in the male pedipalp. Female epigynes have an elongated scape with a wrinkled base.

Distribution
This species has so far only been found on gravel banks along the river margin of the Avon River in Gippsland (Victoria), but is assumed to be more widespread.
