(after Main & Framenau 2009): Swolnpes morganensis males differ from those of S. darwini by the more inflated tarsi and metatarsi of the first leg, the uniform yellow-brown colouration of the abdomen (dark pattern in S. darwini) and the basally curved embolus (straight in S. darwini) that also has a less pointed tip. The female of this species is currently unknown.
