Green Spotted Crab Spider Tharrhalea prasina (L. Koch, 1876)
Fauna Portal species: 9435Diagnosis
(after Szymkoviak 2014): The female differs from T. evanida and T. multopunctata in the small emargination at about 1/3 length of epigyne, position of central hood situated low in the posterior part of epigyne, close to the epigastric furrow and the spermathecae located above the central hood, in the anterior part of genital plate, from T. pulleinei in the narrow, bullet-shaped epigyne and from T. variabilis in the presence of central hood.
The female illustrated here is tentatively referred to T. prasina due to some similarity of the female epigyne as illustrated in Szymkoviak (2014).

Fauna Portal Records
The map shows all records that have been verified as part of the Fauna Portal project and may not represent the true distribution of a species. Specifically, for described species, check the link to the Atlas of Living Australia on this page for potential wider distributions. Fauna Portal Reference specimens and Linnean types are shown in red. If you identified a specimen that exceeds the distribution of an undescribed species as illustrated here, please contact the Fauna Portal team who can assist with the lodgement of the specimen in a public institution and display on the map.
