Spiny Trapdoor Spiders, Armoured Spiders
Idiopidae
Within the family Idiopidae, only the subfamily Arbanitinae is known from Australia. This can be diagnosed from the Idiopinae and Genysinae by (after Rix et al. 2017) the combined presence of a straight or procurved fovea and an eye group that is as wide as or wider than long.
