Hedana has not been diagnosed with modern taxonomic methods. Based on L. Koch's (1874) descrption of the type species, abdomen somewhat elongated and male pedipalp with elongated retrolateral tibial apophysis. Lacking a diagnosis, species are are only tentatively included in the genus.
