Neoscona FP-4284 is currently only known from Barrow Island. There, females differ from those of N. theisi by the shorter epigyne and males by the lack of a fan-shaped terminal apophysis. They differ from Neoscona FP-166 by the different abdominal colouration, which has two rows of black spots in the latter but a folium pattern in Neoscona FP-4284.
