Neoscona FP-4284 is a widespread specis. Females differ from those of N. theisi by the shorter epigyne with strongly rebordered edges, males by the lack of a fan-shaped terminal apophysis. They differ from Neoscona FP-166 by the different abdominal colouration, which has two rows of black spots in the latter but a folium pattern in Neoscona FP-4284.
