Lariniophora
(after Framenau 2011): Although Lariniophora belongs to the informal 'backobourkiines', they are somatically much more similar to Larinia. Male Lariniophora differ from Larinia in, amongst other features, the presence of a paramedian apophysis in the male pedipalp (lacking in Larinia), the presence of a single strong macroseta on the pedipalp patella (two macrosetae in Larinia), and the inflated terminal apophysis (lamellar in Larinia) (e.g. Framenau and Scharff 2008). Female Lariniophora have an elevated epigyne plate (not elevated in Larinia); the epigyne of Lariniophora is slightly longer than wide with a narrow scape, whereas it is much wider than long in Larinia with a broad scape that has a terminal pocket.
