Barrow Island Eutittha
Eutittha
FP-4310 (BWI sp. 2)
Discoverer: J.M. Waldock (2007)
Fauna Portal species: 4310Diagnosis
Eutittha FP-4310 differ from the other two species of the genus found on Barrow Island by being on average the smallest. Males differ from Eutittha FP-232 by the less sinuous retrolatral tibial apophysis and a comparatively shorter and smaller pedipalp. They differ from Eutittha FP-11661 by the more basal origin of the embolus. Females differ from Eutittha FP-232 by the lack of the transverse spermducts shining through anteriorly of the epigyne atrium.
This species seems closely related to Eutittha mordax originally described from Samoa, but later (Dondale 1966) reported from Canberra. It may represent the same species.

Fauna Portal Records
The map shows all records that have been verified as part of the Fauna Portal project and may not represent the true distribution of a species. Specifically, for described species, check the link to the Atlas of Living Australia on this page for potential wider distributions. Fauna Portal Reference specimens and Linnean types are shown in red. If you identified a specimen that exceeds the distribution of an undescribed species as illustrated here, please contact the Fauna Portal team who can assist with the lodgement of the specimen in a public institution and display on the map.
