Diagnosis

(after Harey & Austin 2007):  Females of N. edulis differ from all other Australasian species by the following combination of characters: sternum without tubercles or with very small tubercles, and carapace approximately same length as or longer than tibia IV. Males can be recognised by the lack of a subdistal triangular protuberance on the conductor and a slightly curved conductor.
