(after Jocqué 1991): Males of Neostorena are recognized by the pedipalp, which has a usually flattened cymbium with wide lateral fold ending in a pointed "exit"; the circular tegulum bears a double apophysis: a sclerotized one which is slender, sharp, and pointing outward, and a membranous one, which also points outward, and lies ventrad ofthe former; the embolus is long and whiplike and originates on the distal extremity of the tegulum.
