Steatoda
(after Vanuytven 2021): Species in the genus Steatoda are often readily identified by the colouarion of the abdomen, which is generally reddish-brown to black, often with light band around anterior margin in addition to other light lines lines or spots.
The genus includes common cosmopolitan and synanthropic species, such as the Cupboard Spiders S. grossa and S. capensis.
