Turf Planthopper Toya dryope (Kirkaldy, 1907)

On Barrow Island, where this species is reported from, Toya dryope differs from the other species of Toya, Toya FP-906, by the lack of a dark spot dorsally half-way along the tegmen. Toya dryope is overall much lighter, with the pronotum yellow with three white lines.
External illustrations of genitalia (terminalia) cannot be used to identify planthoppers at the species level; male genitalic preparations are generally required. These illustrations here only serve to facilitate to determine the sex for the user.
