Diagnosis

Phoroncidia FP-12379 is most similar to Ph. trituberculata described from Tasmania. Abdominal and pedipalp shape, however, are coniserably different to that of Ph. trituberculata as illustrated in Hickman (1951), specifically the much longer and twisted theridiid apophysis in the pedipalp. The female of the species is currently unknown.
