Beekeeper's Eutittha Eutittha FP-7573
Discoverer: V.W. Framenau (2022)

Fauna Portal species: 7573

Diagnosis

One of apparently a fair number of very similar Eutittha species in Western Australian, possibly most similar to Eutittha FP-232, with a relatively long pedipalp. Both species differ in details of the male pedipalp, for example in Eutittha FP-7573 the retrolateral tibial apophysis is less bent than in Eutittha FP-232. The female of this Eutittha species appears very similar to E. brevicalcaratum, originally described from 'Swan River' (Perth), as illustrated by Deelman-Reinhold (2001). We currently list it as separate species due to some minor differences in the morphology of the epigyne pending a review of Western Australian Eutittha.

Fauna Portal Records

The map shows all records that have been verified as part of the Fauna Portal project and may not represent the true distribution of a species. Specifically, for described species, check the link to the Atlas of Living Australia on this page for potential wider distributions. Fauna Portal Reference specimens and Linnean types are shown in red. If you identified a specimen that exceeds the distribution of an undescribed species as illustrated here, please contact the Fauna Portal team who can assist with the lodgement of the specimen in a public institution and display on the map.
