Perenethis venusta is the only species of Perenethis in Australia.

Linnean Type

3 syntypes ; type locality: AUSTRALIA, Queensland. Female lectotype designated by Sierwald (1997); ZMUH. Female paralectotype : Rockhampton; ZMHB 3501 (opisthosoma missing). Female paralectotype: Peak Down; BMNH (Sierwald 1997).
