(by J. Schubert): The male of Neosparassus FP-317 can be distinguished from all other Neosparassus species by the following combination of characters: ventral opisthosoma bears a relatively small, simple, black central badge-marking; carapace length and width subequal; retrolateral tibial apophysis (RTA) of pedipalp long, sickle-shaped with a pointed apex; dorsal ridge of RTA forming a sharp but rounded tip, situated at basal surface of RTA.
