The male of Clubiona FP-173 is readily distinguished by the elongated, sinuous retrolateral tibial apophysis that has a double-tip. Similarly, the female epigyne is unique with little sclerotisation but to sinuous central ridges.
A female variation from the Pilbara has here been illustrated (Figs 3628–3630) which was found with males indistinguishable from those collected on Barrow Island. These may represent a variation of this species or a different, somewhat cryptic species.
