Diagnosis

(after Platnick & Baehr 2006): Cryptoerithus occultus may be the western sister species of C. lawlessi; males differ in having a longer, narrower median apophysis, females in lacking pronounced posterior epigynal margins and having larger anterior epigynal ducts.
