(after Davies & Zabka 1989): Rhombonotus differs from Ligonipes in habitus, eye arrangement (posterior lateral eyes on edge of carapace, more widely separated than anterior lateral eyes) and in having simple uncoiled insemination ducts in the female; Strong, fringe of black setae on the tibia of the first leg.
Pluridentati genera of Australian jumping spiders remain poorly defined.
