(after Benavides & Hormiga 2020): Two unambiguous morphological synapomorphies support the monophyly of Ero as circumscribed here: paracymbium with basal apophyses and paracymbium with protuberances. Additional synapomorphies (of ambiguous optimisation) include the cephalothorax colour pattern, with darker carapace margins; the sperm duct path with switchbacks and the anterior orientation of the genital openings.
