Brown Marmorated Stink Bug Halyomorpha halys Stål, 1855

Diagnosis

The adults of the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug are approximately 15-–18 mm long with a mottled brownish grey colouration. The fourth (second last) antennal segment has a white band. Several of the abdominal segments protrude from beneath the wings and are alternatively banded with black and white. The underside is white, sometimes with grey or black markings, and the legs are brown with faint white banding.

Distribution

The Brown Marmorated Stink Bug has not been found in Australia but is of recognised high quarantine risk.
