Pseudaelia
(after Gross 1975): Body rather elongate; Head about as long as its basal width, tapering; juga just surpassing apex of anteclypeus, rather acuminate; Pronotum wider than long, lateral margins straight or somewhat excavate, anterior margins excavate over the collum, straight or toothed exterior to this; posterior margin almost straight. Scutellum longer than wide, narrowed in the apical third. Beneath with prominent bucculae, sulcate sterna and raised toothed edges to the prosternal sulcus of the Menestheus group.
Pseudaelia includes all members of the tribe Aeptini Stål, 1871 on the Fauna Portal, with the exception of Mariomella FP-3637 (see Faúndez (2017) for diagnosis of Mariomella).
