(after Bíly & Hanlon 2020): Medium-sized (9.5–18.0 mm), subcylindrical, matt, moderately convex with strong sexual dichromatism: male dark blue, violet or blue-green with green scutellum, ventral surface blue-green; female bronze, pronotum with weak brass lustre, ventral surface bronze; ventral surface of both sexes with wide, almost scale-like setae covering completely metepimera and metacoxae, pubescence of abdominal ventrites and femora much sparser.
