Ant-Like Flower Beetle
Anthicidae Latreille, 1819
Type genus: Anthicus Paykull, 1798
(after Hangay & Zboworski 2010): body slender, smaller species ant-like, brown, black, or red, pubescent, 1.5-12mm in length. Head sharply constricted at base to form a neck; antennae filiform or clavate, or thickened apically, 11-segmented. Pronotum widest at front, constricted near base, sometimes with large horn-like process extending over the head. Elytra often with coloured pattern. Tarsal formula 5-5-4, penultimate segment bilobed.
