Frontal shield not divided into upper and lower sections by a transverse groove and frontal line forming a smooth arc (Fig. 7013). Pereonites 1 and 2 without complex interlocking structures but with simple endolobes (Figs 7016, 7017).
There are numerous species of this type in the drier regions of Western Australia, predominantly in the Pilbara region. All are likely to have restricted distributions. Species in this group can only be diagnosed by molecular data (COI barcoding), but Buddelundiinae gen. indet. FP-11801 has not been sequenced and identification is based on close proximity of its two locations.
