The pedipalp morphology of Pyrnus FP-14788is most similar to that of P. planus as illustrated in Platnick (2002) due to the elongated retrolateral tibial apophysis, but the base of the embolus is much narrow curved and protrudes less beyond the cymbium. The species can't be matched to any of the species only known from females based on distribution and is here considered an undescribed species.
