The male of Cryptachaea FP-13838 is distinguished by the pedipalp cymbium that has a distinct sclerotised apical hood. The female epgiyne is very similar to that of Cryptachaea FP-13645 from Tasmania and both species may turn out to be the same species pending discovering further specimens connecting the distribution ranges of both species.
