(after Szymkoviak 2014): Spiders with wide ocular area (x/y ratio 0.70-1), large, distinct central hood (except A. ergandros and A. inornata) position anteriorly on the epigyne, vulval structures with four coils of copulatory ducts, ventral tibial apophysis of male pedipalp encroaching onto retro-lateral side, retrolateral tibial apophysis massive and spade-shaped.
