(after Chandler, 2001): Head with 3 antennomeres, antennomeres I-II quite short, antennomeres III as long as head or longer, vertexal foveae small and punctiform. Pronotum with shallow median antebasal impression or fovea. Elytra typically lacking fovea at bases. Abomden with visible tergites 1-3 (IV-VI) fused into tergal plate, abdomen basally constricted.
