Differs from Neomeschia by clavus punctuate with three more or less complete rows, hamus completely absent and pronotal calli with indistinct smooth groove.

(after Malipatil 2014): Presence of scale-like pubescence all over the body; a distinct gular groove on the under surface of head to receive the first labial segment; paraclypeal lobes with small protuberances anteriorly; head with its lateral margins anterior to eyes almost parallel-sided; short, robust, barrel-shaped first antennal segment; distinct or indistinct impressed, shiny lines across each callus on the pronotum; carinate lateral margins of the pronotum; mesosternum slightly grooved to receive the labium; punctate clavus; punctate hemelytra; the absence of inner laterotergites; absence of a connexivum on abdominal segment VII; incrassate fore femur; a tubular apically bulbous spermatheca; and a vesical helicoid process.
