Coleotichus
(after Gross 1975): Largish elongate oval Scutelleridae mostly yellowish brown to brown in colour (Hawaiian species is greenish). Body convex above and below; head triangular, less than or only just longer than half the length of the pronotum, anteclypeus not projecting beyond juga, eyes large but not salient. Pronotum wider than long, anterior margin feebly concave, antero-lateral margins almost straight, postero-lateral margins very short, straight. The posterior margin of the pronotum is at first ( exteriorly) colinear with the postero-lateral margins then at the level of the exterior margin of the scutellum is angled posteriorly to where it begins to overlap the scutellum, and then forms a large convex curve across the width of the scutellum. Scutellum large, wide but not so wide as to conceal the outer region of the corium or the lateral margins of the abdomen, except apically.
