(after Bonato & Minelli 2004): Mecistocephalids with at least 45 leg-bearing segments. Body evidently tapering backwards. Head evidently longer than wide. Frontal line present.Two clypeal plagulae, divided by a mid-longitudinal areolate stripe and extending tothe lateral margins of the clypeus. Spiculum present. Posterior alae of labrum with-out longitudinal stripes. Coxosternum of first maxillae with a mid-longitudinalsuture; areolation limited to an anterior marginal band. Coxosternum of secondmaxillae undivided; areolation on a median and a posterior band; groove frommetameric pore and foraminal process reaching lateral margin of coxosternum.Telopodites of second maxillae well developed, overreaching those of the first max-illae, and bearing a simple claw. Forcipular tergum only slightly wider than long,with a mid-longitudinal sulcus. Legs of last pair slender, not sexually dimorphic, bearing one or two short subapical spines.
