(after Mackerras 1966): The male genitalia resemble those of A. lambii in most respects, but the tips of L3 are more pointed, resembling those of A. maculosa; one prong is particularly long; L2va may be bifid or single. In the female the rod-like branch of teh spermatheca is slightly longer than in A. lambii.
Our sequences of A. uniformis match that of a specimens identified as A. maculosa on GenBank (HQ936965) from the ANIC collection Canberra. We assume the latter represents a misidentification, as A. maculosa is a more central species with different colouration. Alternatively, COI sequence data may not be suitable to separate some species in Anamesia.
